DEGIMA provides innovative corrosion protection systems. Acorn is one of the company´s research projects subsidised with European Funds with the objective to create new coatings to protect from corrosion and biofouling, as well as to reduce the impact of cavitation on turbines and marine energy converters.

The aim of the project, completed in February 2018, was to find a durable patentable solution providing specific advantages for fixed offshore structures, such as turbines and wave energy converters.
